Today's guests were a couple from Brazil. Their trip started from Tokyo, then travelling through many places and come to Fukuoka.
They have big passion for Japanese cuisine, so asked me how to get Kansui (This is a kind of water what it is added making Ramen noodles. I've heard the name Kansui, but I've never made ramen myself. I didn't have any answer about it. I felt sorry for that. And also they want to buy a strainer for ramen, I don't know where we can buy it. I told them to go to Yanagibashi(It is big market in Fukuoka.)
I hope they would buy good items what they want to buy.
We made 4 dishes today.
Deep-fried lotus root and eggplant with shrimp paste
Niku-jaga(braised beef and potato)
Japanese style cucumber and prawn salad
Miso soup with tofu and wakame seaweed
I served Steamed rice, Stings beans with sesame dressing, Umegae mochi.
