  • Registered Pharmacist (Certified)

I was born and grew up in Fukuoka. I moved to Tokyo, Miyazaki, Okinawa on my husband’s job transfer, then we have been back to Fukuoka since year 2000.

We have a lot of experience hosting foreign students who were studying in Fukuoka. We exchanged our culture, of course, food! What’s more we have visited almost 40 countries, and studied English in Auckland (New Zealand), and Perth (Australia).

I’m working at a pharmacy as a pharmacist on weekdays.

I love cooking and after seeing so many people enjoy Japanese dishes, I took the plunge to discontinue my job for one year to attend a professional culinary school and obtained my culinary qualification in the year 2010.

I’ve been trained in Japanese, Chinese, Italian, French Cusion at Totani Culinary school in Fukuoka, and received the training in Japanese Cuisine at “Hana-Manyo” restaurant.

I have prepared Japanese dishes for our foreigner friends in our humble kitchen on many occasions, because I feel this is a great way for them to get acquainted with Japanese Culture. When I visit other countries, there are times I don’t speak their language, but there is one thing I believe, that food is our common language.

So I would like to teach you Japanese food. I can try my best to arrange the menu to your liking, including vegetarian meals at an additional charge.

I would like to teach you Japanese home-style dishes and hope you will continue making them when you return home. I will be more than happy to answer your questions during our cooking session as this reflects your strong interest in Japanese cooking. Feel free to ask questions and I will do my best.

I look forward to hear from you soon. And let’s enjoy cooking together!
